On 28th July, more than 30 delegates of Central and Eastern European presidents and premiers have visited China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda Dujiangyan Base by the invitation of Chinese Foreign Ministry and Sichuan Foreign Affairs Office.
The advisory group visited the panda display areas, the science exhibition hall and quarantine barns of Dujiangyan base with the company of Wei Rongping - deputy director of the center. They had seen the charming giant pandas, learned the giant panda scientific knowledge and the current research and protection situation of the base. The advisers were impressed by cute giant pandas and advanced infrastructure of the center.
China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda has the world largest population of captive giant pandas and it is the main platform of international giant panda scientific research. As so far, it has built cooperation relationship with 11 zoos around 9 countries and sent 24 giant pandas abroad.
